About

Our Story

Founded in 2012, the Atlanta Persian Dance Group is a dance team from the greater Atlanta area that seeks to spread the beauty of Iranian culture in our community through means of dance. Each member has experienced a different amount of exposure to Iranian culture, some throughout our whole lives while others primarily through their involvement with this group. Thus, in a way, this dance has also served as a way for us members to get in better touch with our background and ensure we can experience and share the rich culture of Iran as the next generation of Iranian-Americans.

Our Value

We perform a variety of dances ranging from a mixture of traditional styles such as Shomali, Bandari, and Baba Karam, as well as modern dances. Past performances have included the Persian Community Center of Atlanta’s New Year event, Piedmont Park, Marietta Adventist Church, North Point Mall, and an AT&T Company event. We have been blessed to grow as a team and have learned so much from the past seven years. This team is not just members who dance together, but a family.

Our Members

As a whole, we share a passion for dancing and spreading our culture, making this team a memorable and enjoyable experience for all of us. Over the past several years, we have become a family. We are always looking to expand our members and performances, so please do not hesitate to reach out!
